It was little over a month ago when VH1 decided to pull the plug on its beloved scripted series, Single Ladies. The cast and crew all reacted to the news with grace and decorum, but now it’s time for a celebration. BET has given the show a second chance and will be bringing the show back, complete with a new season!
BET’s sister cable station, Centric, has struck a deal with Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Entertainment and will order a fourth season of the breakthrough hit show (which is produced by the Queen herself) as well as air Latifah’s daytime talk show, The Queen Latifah Show.
“We are thrilled to be working once again with Flavor Unit Entertainment and Queen Latifah. She does it all and we are happy to have her join us as a creative force as we continue to grow Centric into a premiere destination for African American women. We couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead,” said Debra L. Lee, BET Networks Chairman and CEO.
We couldn’t be more excited, as well!
So far, the cast and crew of the Atlanta-based show has yet to react to the great news, but we’re sure that they’re going to be more than thrilled to get back to work now that their series finale (on March 24) is just a season finale!
