Beyonce’s Sister Solange Allegedly Attacks Jay Z in Elevator After Met Gala! (VIDEO)

File this under things we totally didn’t see coming. Hip hop’s first couple, Jay Z and Beyonce, are pretty much always the picture of perfection — and that includes their family life. But that image was just shattered after a security video from an elevator at a Met Gala after party on May 5 was released, allegedly showing Bey’s sister Solange viciously attacking brother-in-law Jay. What in the world?!

The married couple and Solange are seen walking into the elevator together at NYC’s The Standard Hotel, and though there’s no sound, it appears that the in-laws are in the midst of an aggressive verbal spat. The “Lovers In the Parking Lot” singer even gets up in Jay Z’s face at one point.

Next thing you know, Solange loses it and starts pushing the rapper, while security attempts to hold her back. They’re somewhat unsuccessful, however, as she even gets some pretty forceful kicks in! Jay Z, on the other hand, never returns any blows.

All the while, her superstar big sis seems to remain calm, staying out of the way of the altercation. However, Beyonce does look to be speaking at times, so she could be trying to calm Solange down verbally.

The bodyguard eventually hits the emergency switch, in an attempt to settle the situation before the three walked out in public. And though the source of the argument is unknown, a photo taken of the trio leaving the party soon after (at left) shows Solange to be quite peeved — while Jay Z looks a bit dazed.

What do you think this fight was about? And are you surprised Beyonce didn’t jump in? Tell us in the comments below.
