‘Sister Wives’ Family Kicked Out of Mormon Church — Report
Kody Brown and his entire family have reportedly been kicked out of their church for good.
The Sister Wives stars — which include Kody, wives Meri, Robyn, Janelle, Christine, and their 18 children — are no longer welcome at the Apostolic United Brethren group after a year of scandal and publicity.
After Meri’s catfish incident and daughter Mariah coming out as a lesbian, the Mormon church doesn’t think the Brown family deserves to be a part of their community anymore, according to Radar Online.
“From day one Kody pitched the show as a documentary, but a lot of people in the faith think that this has become a straight-up reality TV show for ratings,” says a source.
In fact, daughter Maddie got baptized in the Church for the TLC show, but was sent a rejection letter shortly afterwards because they felt her family was too public.
“This has been brewing for a long time and Meri’s catfishing scandal was the final straw,” continues the source.
Faith is very important to the Brown family, so they can’t be taking this news very well, if it’s true.
“When the Browns sit there and put themselves on TV but won’t discuss the real issues they face and instead look for ratings, of course people in the religion are going to get annoyed at how they’re being portrayed.”
Do you believe this report? Should the Browns be kicked out of the Church?
