The Originals Sneak Peek: Marcel and [SPOILER] Face Off in the French Quarter (VIDEO)

With the premiere of The Originals right around the corner, we’re gearing up to see an epic battle between the witches and the vampires. We know that Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) are going to be at odds, but this epic civil war has us more intrigued.

In a new clip (titled “Problems”) from the premiere, we see Marcel and Sophie Devereaux (Daniella Pineda) face off in the streets of New Orleans. What follows is one very intense and emotional moment.

“If anybody is thinking of joining some kind of rebellion, my rules state that witches can’t practice magic in the Quarter,” Marcel says in the clip. “And yet, a little birdie informed me that Jane-Anne was cooking up something magically delicious.” We don’t think Marcel is talking about Lucky Charms, you guys!

Marcel then begins to question Sophie about Klaus’s arrival in New Orleans and how he wants to see Jane-Anne.

“I don’t know, witches don’t get involved in vampire business,” Sophie responds. Marcel then proceeds to creepily tell her to basically get back in the kitchen and cook some gumbo. Um, don’t make us start hating you, Marcel. What a bad boy.

Sophie then attempts to retrieve her sister’s body from the street, but the vamps aren’t having that. It’s a really heartbreaking scene, and we have to say that so far we’re definitely Team Witches. All we know is that it’s hard to be a witch in the Big Easy.

Whose side do you think you’ll be on — vampires or witches? Are you excited about the premiere of The Originals? Hit the comments and let us know!
