Bachelorette 2014 Sneak Peek: Nick Viall Struggles to Tell Andi He Loves Her (VIDEO)

Um, ahem, mmmm, cough, uh, yeah, sigh, giggle. We’re not getting much more than that from ABC’s latest sneak peek at tonight’s Fantasy Suites episode, in which Nick Viall struggles to form a sentence. In fact, he’s struggling to form one sentence in particular, and failing miserably: “Andi Dorfman, I lurrrrv you.”

The sneak peek starts with Nick and Andi on a beach in the Dominican Republic — wearing matching sea green swimsuits, BTW, awww — where Nick is struggling to make words work for him. Apparently, Andi gets bored with his rambling, because she cuts him off to suggest going snorkeling (aka, I’d rather look at fishies than listen to even one more of your one-word sentences). Cut to nighttime, and Nick still hasn’t dropped the L-bomb.

Andi asks him for an embarrassing story about himself or some kind of silly detail about his personality. He tells her he’s “quirky” and has “a childlike sense of wonder.” Then cameras cut to Andi holding a picture book with childlike drawings in it, ostensibly a record of their relationship a production assistant Nick drew for her. So, yes, Nick is backing up the whole childlike thing.

Despite the fact that they’re drinking wine — aka the feelings lubricant — Nick still can’t get his lips around the phrase. Instead he twirls his hair and plays with his ear and Andi laughs at him. If he’s having this much trouble getting words out before they’re in the Fantasy Suite, does he go 100 percent mute when they’re in it? We hope not, since the miming date in France is where McSalty first surfaced, and we’re betting a night with the salt man isn’t what Andi’s fantasies are made of.

Watch the sneak peek here then tell us in the comments if you think Nick will confess his love or continue to choke on his words:

The Bachelorette airs tonight July 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
