For all of Once Upon a Time Season 3 thus far, everyone has been trying to save Henry after he was kidnapped and taken to Peter Pan. While they’ve gotten close, there’s still a long road ahead of them in Neverland, and there’s a chance that Henry won’t be alive at the end of it.
In Entertainment Weekly’s new sneak peek for Season 3, Episode 8: “Think Lovely Thoughts” (airing November 17), we see that Wendy is alive and well after being rescued by Emma, Neal, Hook, and Rumplestiltskin, but she won’t be that way for long if she lies.
“Hey, Wendy. Since you’ve been here, have you seen my son? His name’s Henry,” Neal says, to which she immediately questions, “You have a son?” After Emma and Neal question him about Pan needing Henry’s heart and whether the evil Neverland overlord has mentioned anything about the heart of the truest believer, she claims she knows nothing.
But Rumple catches her in a lie, exclaiming, “She’s lying! Where is he?” When Charming tries to stop him, the Dark One has a clear reasoning: “I’ve carried enough lies in my life to recognize the burden,” he explains. “She knows where Henry is.”
Wendy ‘fesses up after Regina reveals that Wendy’s brothers, John and Michael, are safe (for now) in Storybrooke, and that they helped Belle find Pandora’s Box to destroy Pan. And The Charmings & Co. are ready to help — if she can help them.
“Wendy, we will save John and Michael, I swear to god. But right now, I really need your help. Please,” Neal pleads. And thankfully, Wendy gives in. However, there’s quite a catch.
“Pan told Henry that he needs his heart to save magic, but it’s a lie. He needs it to save himself. Pan’s dying,” she explains. “He needs the heart of the truest believer to absorb all the magic in Neverland, and once he does, he will be immortal. All-powerful.”
“And what happens to Henry?” Snow questions.
“Well, it’s a trade. When Pan lives, Henry will die,” Wendy says truthfully.
Uh-oh. We saw this coming, but the severity of the situation is much more intense than we imagined. Do you think Henry will die? Check out the clip, then sound off below.
