Vampire Diaries Sneak Peek: Season 5, Episode 19 — “Man On Fire” (VIDEO)

Tonight brings a new episode of The Vampire Diaries, and the fang gang is officially freaking out about the Travelers’ efforts to take over Mystic Falls one Passenger at a time. In this sneak peek from Season 5, Episode 19 (“Man on Fire”), Damon(Ian Somerhalder) shows up at Lockwood Manor to get the Traveler knife from Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Matt (Zach Roerig). Only problem is: it’s missing. Check out how Damon reacts (spoiler alert: it’s not pretty).

“Oh, I’m so sorry I interrupted...whatever weird ritual you two were doing, but I just wanna de-Passenger the great citizens of Mystic Falls using your magical Traveler knife,” Damon tells Matt and Jer in the clip, cutting right to the point. “So, hand it over.”

“That’s gonna be a problem,” Matt tells him. (We’d say. Matt doesn’t know this, but Markos destroyed the blade last week.)

Damon doesn’t take well to having his plan thwarting — no matter how innocently: “Five words that make me wanna vamp-toss my keys into your chest cavity,” Damon tells Matt. “Little Gilbert, help me in my fight against my dark side and elaborate.”

Jeremy explains that they can’t find the knife. Damon is pissed that they lost it, but Jeremy tries to explain this isn’t just a case of misplacing a super important magical host-killer: “As in it’s not here,” he tells Damon.

Damon has a harder time fighting against his dark side: “You’re right, don’t invite me in because I will kill both of you.” Oh, brother. But, seriously, they need to find another way to kill a Passenger or they may be doomed.

How long do you think it will take the fang gang to figure out what happened to the knife? Do they have any hope now that it’s destroyed? Sound off in the comments below!

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
