Snowmobiler Dies in Tragic X Games Crash at Age 25

There is tragic X Games news as an athlete has died from injuries suffered while competing.

Snowmobiler Caleb Moore has died at age 25 following a shocking accident while competing in the Winter X Games in Colorado, according to CNN.

His death was announced on January 31, and the injuries were sustained while he was competing on January 24.

During an extreme snowmobiling event, Caleb was trying to do a back flip on his snowmobile when he came up short. He was shot over the handlebars and the 450-pound snowmobile hit him as he fell down the hill.

"He will be truly missed and never forgotten," says his family in a statement.

Caleb was a four-time X Games medalist.

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this very difficult time.
