This past weekend, So You Think You Can Dance Season 9 got rollin’ with its first series of auditions at Atlanta’s Fox Theater. Throughout the grueling process, executive producer Nigel Lythgoe tweeted about the highs, the lows, the inbetweens, and the “Wobble.”

Things got off to a slow start in the ATL and Nigel was worried. He tweeted, “I'm not jumping up and down regarding the talent this morning. A certain lack of uniqueness, passion, and performance. Melanie brought all 3.” But, as day 1 progressed, things started to pick up and Nigel changed his tone. “ATL has just delivered some incredible dancers. Plus the audience jumped on the stage to ‘Wobble.’”

We have no idea what entails a well-executed “Wobble,” but, apparently Nigel and fellow judge Debbie Allen felt compelled to join the auditionees onstage for a little bit of “Wobble” fun.

Now, Nigel and the rest of the SYTYCD crew get ready to head to Dallas, TX for the next round of Season 9 auditions. Check out for more audition details.

Can Dallas deliver as well as Atlanta? Only time will tell.
