Following each audition episode of So You Think You Can Dance, we'll be rating the good, the bad, and, yes, sometimes the ugly from each city. Here are the best and worst solos from Atlanta ... in our humble opinions, of course.
Best: Melanie Moore
This art major from NYC's Fordham University claims she used to be a terrible dancer. Um, how? Melanie is amazing, like pee-your-pants good. Her feet, her extensions, her sheer artistry ... so incredible! We know it's early, but we'd be willing to bet money that this contemporary dancer ends up in the Top 20. Plus, the fact that she's a dead ringer for adorable Keri Russell from Felicity scores her major extra points.
Worst: John Palermo aka "White Chocolate"
The most disappointing aspect of John's hip hop audition was how much he talked himself up before hitting the stage. We were all sorts of fired up to see this guy rip it up on the dance floor. Maybe his freestyle rapping in the intro should have been a clue of the nonsense ahead ... or the fact that he didn't know the meaning of the word "surname." At least he got a few hugs out of it.
