Last night, on So You Think You Can Dance, Season 8's Top 6 pirouetted, jetéd, and waacked their little hearts out. Here are our favorites of the night, followed by the weakest links.

Best Routine: Sasha Mallory and Kent Boyd in "Fool of Me"

This wasn't just our favorite routine of the evening, it was our favorite Tyce Diorio piece of the season, as well. We also started feeling Nigel's pain a bit last night, as far as trying to choose between Melanie Moore and Sasha — she was so vulnerable and beautiful in this performance! Incidentally, we think Tyce is at his best when he's choreographing contemporary works, wouldn't you agree?

At the end of the night, this was the routine that stuck with us. We loved the creative use of the wall, the gorgeous dancing, and the brilliant acting from both performers — their connection was utterly believable.

Best Solo: Melanie Moore

How psyched are we to finally get some Melanie solos up in this piece! This was yet another exquisite performance from our golden girl — in fact, we dare say it was her best solo yet. That grand jeté into a full plié into another leap into a second position grand plié ... um, wow. So amazing.

Worst Routine: Sasha Mallory and Ricky Jaime in "Schoolin' Life"

After our introduction to waacking via the world-renowned Princess Lockerooo, this take on the genre was a let-down, to say the least. Sasha and Ricky did a great job with it, but at this point in the competition, this very simple routine wasn't doing them any favors as far as a "wow" factor. It just seemed way too easy, in our opinions. On a positive note, loved the costumes!

Worst Solo: Tadd Gadduang

What can we say — we're just so bored with the hand-walking tricks at this point. We still really like Tadd and we think he's been doing an incredible job keeping up with way more trained dancers on the show, but when it comes to the solos, we expect a little bit more from our finale contenders. Still, it was a very cute performance with some big points for personality, for sure.
