It's been quite a journey for So You Think You Can Dance Season 8 winner Melanie Moore. The pixie-haired contemporary beast from Marietta, Ga. won the hearts of America the first time she took the So You Think You Can Dance stage back in Atlanta.

Throughout the competition, the Fordham art student continued to blow viewers away with her bubbly personality, technical prowess, and artistic brilliance.

Melanie gave us some of Season 8's most magical and memorable moments. Take a look back at the routines that won her the title, America's Favorite Dancer:

"Everybody Hurts" by Jason Gilkison

On July 20, Melanie was paired up with All-Star Pasha Kovalev for a lovely and emotional Viennese waltz choreographed by Jason Gilkison. Is there any style she can't do?!

Contemporary Solo to "You're the One That I Want"

That same evening, Melanie performed a contemporary solo to "You're the One That I Want" by Angus & Julia Stone. Classical Melanie. How can you ask for anything more?

"In This Shirt" by Stacey Tookey

Melanie made her Top 20 debut on June 20, 2011 with this ethereal Stacey Tookey contemporary group number with fellow competitors Ricky Jaime, Miranda Maleski, and Sasha Mallory. What a beautiful way to kick off the competition!

"Pop Drop & Roll" by Sonya Tayeh

That same night, Melanie got the chance to show off her stage presence and versatility in Sonya Tayeh's bizarre geisha-themed routine. We loved that we got to see it performed a second time during the fstinale results show.

"Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Mandy Moore

What a phenomenal partnership this was! On July 27, Melanie was paired up with All-Star Neil Haskell for an emotional contemporary routine to "Total Eclipse of the Heart." When she threw herself into Neil's arms, we knew she was still the beast to beat.

"Little Bird" by Tyce Diorio

The Top 20 closed out the night with Tyce Diorio's fierce contemporary group routine to "Little Bird" by Annie Lennox. Watch Melanie leap off the platform at the end of the routine … so fearless!

"Game On" By Sonya Tayeh

Melanie and fellow beast Sasha Mallory rounded out the night with an unforgettable Sonya Tayeh jazz routine to "Game On" by District 78. Guest judge Lady Gaga couldn't stop raving about this performance, and neither could we!

"Roman's Revenge" by Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo

Melanie and All-Star Stephen "tWitch" Boss worked this Little Red Riding Hood-themed Nappytabs hip hop dance to "Roman's Revenge" by Nicki Minaj. It wasn't our absolute favorite performance from Melanie, but that didn't stop us from voting for her!

"Turn to Stone" by Travis Wall

On June 15, we were introduced to the Melanie Moore/Marko Germar partnership with Travis Wall's sure-to-be Emmy nominated contemporary routine to Ingrid Michaelson's "Turn to Stone." Words can't express how this dance makes us feel — it's truly a work of moving art.

"(Where Do I Begin) Love Story" by Spencer Liff

Melanie showed us her impeccable acting skills on August 3 when she performed this Spencer Liff Broadway routine to Shirley Bassey's "(Where Do I Begin) Love Story" with partner Tadd Gadduang. She was an image of classic Hollywood.

"Sing, Sing, Sing (With a Swing)" by Mandy Moore

Melanie continued on her wow-factor winning streak when she and Marko performed this adorable Mandy Moore jazz routine on June 22. We loved seeing Melanie's bubbly personality shine through!

Jazz Solo to "Cracks"

Melanie ended the night with a jazz solo to "Cracks" (Flux Pavilion Remix) by Freestylers feat. Belle Humble. Another solid performance!

"I Got You" by Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo

June 29 is a day that will go down in SYTYCD history! Melanie and Marko started the infamous "kissing frenzy" after their on-stage smooch during a Nappytabs lyrical hip hop routine. The dancing wasn't too shabby either!

"Poison & Wine" by Dee Caspary

We couldn't take our eyes off of Melanie in Dee Caspary's contemporary Top 16 group number to "Poison & Wine" performed on June 29. Luckily, Dee made it easy to indulge by placing America's Favorite Dancer front and center for most of the routine!

"Sacrifice" by Stacey Tookey

Melanie and All-Star Robert Roldan did an exceptional job during the Season 8 finale with this Stacey Tookey contemporary routine to "Sacrifice" by Sinead O'Conner. We knew she'd take the title after this stellar performance!

"Show Me What You're Working With" by Ray Leeper

For her final duet, Melanie was paired up with Tadd for a Ray Leeper jazz number to "Show Me What You're Working With" by Sista Monica. The judges couldn't stop talking about her saucy strut. Girl definitely walked across that stage like a winner!

"Americano" by Ray Leeper

Melanie and Marko were on fire in this Ray Leeper jazz routine to "Americano" by Lady Gaga on June 6. If this saucy number doesn't get your foot tapping and your heart pumping, then we don't know what will!

Contemporary Solo to "Song for Viola"

For her final solo of Season 8, Melanie took things down a notch with an emotional contemporary routine to "Song for Viola" by Peter Bradley Adams. This was classic, beautiful, artistic Melanie at her finest!

"My Discarded Men" by Ray Leeper

That same night, Melanie returned to the stage with the Top 14 girls for another sexy Ray Leeper jazz routine to "My Discarded Men" by Eartha Kitt. As Cat Deeley said, "Boys, run for your lives!"

"Triptico" by Louis Van Amstel

On July 13, Melanie stepped out of her comfort zone and performed a Louis Van Amstel Tango routine to "Triptico" by Grotan Project. After working with her, Louis told Wetpaint Entertainment exclusively that Melanie was the dancer to beat.

"Skin and Bones" by Dee Caspary

That same night, Melanie was able to return to her style with another Dee Caspary contemporary routine to "Skin and Bones" by David J. Roch. We loved seeing Melanie's vulnerable side in this emotional piece of art.
