As Dance Moms devotees, we welcome any addition to the Lifetime franchise that made Abby Lee Miller a star. But what can we expect on the upcoming Dance Moms: Miami?

The first Dance Moms spin-off will make its hot and fiery debut immediately following the Dance Moms Season 2 finale on Tuesday, April 3, at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime, before taking its permanent spot at 9 p.m. the following Tuesday.

According to a press release, the series will focus on Miami Beach’s Stars Dance Studio, run by owners and dance instructors Victor Smalley (a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance Season 6) and Angel Armas. We’ll watch them “teach, train, and choreograph a diverse group of talented girl and boy dancers.”

We’re excited for two reasons: 1) It sounds like there might be men on the dance floor! With two male instructors, we’ll get a taste of Dancing With the Stars’ mixed couples’ dance routines (here’s hoping).

And 2) The studio is run “under the watchful eye of Victor’s mother and Stars Dance Studio manager, Mayra Smalley,” which means there might still be room for some older lady sass. If we’re lucky, Mayra will be friends with the Real Housewives of Miami’s Elsa Patton, arguably the true star of that series.

Are you excited for this flavorful edition of Dance Moms?

Catch an all-new Dance Moms tonight, March 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime.
