Marko Germar came to us with the most unforgettable story in SYTYCD history. After being held at gunpoint, he has a bullet lodged into one of his shoulders. Yet, watching him dance, one would never guess. He grew up in Guam, where he began his formal dance training, and moved to L.A. in 2008 to pursue a career in dance. While he did train for nine years in jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, ballroom, and gymnastics, the options available to him in Guam weren't enough to create a strong dance foundation. He spent hours on theInternett, YouTube-ing videos, and learning how to mimic what he saw. However, Marko is a natural mover, and, shortly after moving to the U.S., he managed to land himself a job at Disneyland, dancing in the show Aladdin The Musical Spectacular.
