Mia Michaels Bio
Mia Michaels was born in Coconut Grove, Florida on February 22, 1966. She’s a bit out there and brutally honest, but when Mia steps into a studio, there is no denying this woman’s artistic integrity. We all know her from her emotive and inspired contemporary dance numbers on So You Think You Can Dance — which awarded her two Emmy nominations and one win — but her career is expansive. She’s choreographed for: Cirque de Soliel, Madonna, Ricky Martin, Prince, RAW (her own company), and SYTYCD, among others. She is currently choreographing the Rock of Ages movie— directed by SYTYCD colleague Adam Shankman.
