Stacey Tookey Bio

Stacey Tookey’s story is one of ballerina turned dancing rock star. She was born on July 10, 1976 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and later represented her country at the Adeline Genee Awards in London. Her classical training led her to a position with Ballet British Columbia. From there, Stacey broadened her styles of dance into contemporary and jazz, working with companies such as Fusion Dance Company and Mia Michael’s “RAW.” In 2002, she moved to Las Vegas, where she spent the next five years dancing in Celine Dion’s show A New Day. Now, Stacey lives, works, and plays in Los Angeles, CA. Her pieces have been astounding So You Think You Can Dance audiences for the past three seasons, earning her an Emmy nomination last year. Additionally, she designs dance-inspired active wear for a clothing line called Bruno and Sugar.
