Usher Had a Recurring Role on Which Soap Opera?

Usher Raymond IV is probably the most charming coach on The Voice if not the most charming person in history. But under all that charisma, the talented singer is a threat... a triple threat, that is. Not only can he sing and dance, but Usher has several acting credits to his name, including a brief run on CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful.

Seems like a decent number of fans on Viggle are all caught up on their soap operas. Forty-two percent of folks on Viggle LIVE! correctly identified the answer to this trivia question. However, 35 percent thought it might be The Young and the Restless, while 22 percent guessed Days of Our Lives.

Usher’s role didn’t involve demonic possession or an evil twin, but his storyline did feature that classic soap trope known as infidelity. His character, an R&B singer named Raymond (we know, try to stretch your imagination with this one), slept with heroine Amber Moore, who was involved with another man.

Shortly after the tryst (and Usher’s role on the show), Amber discovers she’s pregnant and has no idea who the father is. However, the child was stillborn and the paternity is never revealed. Legend has it the storyline was an inspiration for Usher’s album Confessions. JK, we made that up... but wouldn’t that be so cool if it were true?

We gotta confess, if you’re not on Viggle yet, you’re missing out. If you want to earn rewards just for watching your favorite shows, we suggest you come correct — download the free app today!
