The bending is about to come to an end.
David Beckham, soccer star and owner of some seriously sexy abs, is calling it quits and will retire from the sport at the end of the season, according to the BBC.
David, who is 38, had signed a five-month deal to play with Paris St-Germain and had donated his entire salary to charity.
"I'm thankful to PSG for giving me the opportunity to continue, but I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level," David says.
David is the former captain of the English soccer team and has played with Manchester United, Real Madrid, and the L.A. Galaxy in his storied career.
So what's next for Mr. Posh Spice?
"Nothing will ever completely replace playing the game I love," he admits. "However, I feel like I'm starting a new adventure, and I'm genuinely excited about what lies ahead."
"I'm fortunate to have been given many opportunities throughout my career, and now I feel it's my time to give back," David says.
David has two games remaining until the end of his season.
