Sofia Vergara’s Modern Family character, Gloria, may have a flair for the dramatic, and off-screen, the actress is no shrinking violet — especially not when it comes to her wedding.
The 41-year-old star, who is engaged to 38-year-old businessman Nick Loeb, reveals to People that she has no plans to tone down her bombshell vibe for her walk down the aisle.
“I still take advantage of the cleavage,” she says, of her main wedding day accessories. “While I have it, why not flaunt it? Who knows how long I’ll have it looking this way. So I’m still taking advantage.”
As for the designer, Sofia already knows who she’ll choose.
“When the time comes it has to be Vera Wang,” says the actress, who wore a red dress by Wang to the Emmys. “Her dresses are amazing … they are perfect. She knows my body so well. I want something modern and elegant. I’ve been married before so nothing too traditional or crazy.”
For now, despite already having dreams of dresses dancing through her head, Sofia says she’s not in a race to the altar.
“I don’t see a difference from what I’m living right now. I feel like we are already married,” she says. “We live together, and we travel together. We know each other’s family. So really it’s just a huge party to plan. That’s the only difference.”
