Solange Breaks Her Silence On Met Gala Fight With Jay Z: “My Family And I Are All Good” (VIDEO)
It may have been almost two months since Solange’s elevator smackdown with brother-in-law Jay-Z happened at the Met Gala, but have people forgotten about the fight that created more rumors than ever before about Jay Z and Beyonce’s marriage? Of course they haven’t!
Instead, all we can do as the famous couple embark on their “On The Run” tour is speculate whether or not something nasty is brewing behind the scenes… and so far, we’ve been supplied with exactly zero answers.
Though we're expected to be satisfied with the explanation given in the family’s official statement, we’re not. We need details. And while details are not what we’re getting, Solange has finally broken her silence for the first time about the brawl — something the 28-year-old singer refers to as “that thing.”
“What’s important is that my family and I are all good,” Solange told Lucky when she posed for the cover of the mag’s August 2014 issue, according to Us Weekly. “What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that.”
If we had to place bets, we’d wager that the family’s been heavily media coached to say just that when asked about the situation.
Despite the fact that Solange — who appears to be getting along just fine with her sister these days — remained tight-lipped about the cause of the argument (which is what we really wanted to know), we’re surprised she said anything at all. Maybe we should just be grateful for the info we’ve gotten?
