American Idol 2014 Song Spoilers: Top 5 Song Choices Revealed! — April 30, 2014

It’s kind of scary to think that the American Idol contestant pool is now narrowed down to the Top 5, but after hearing tonight’s performances, there will only be four left. Where has the time gone?! This week’s theme is viewer’s choice, which means the song requests fans have been placing on Twitter all season are finally being put into play.

So what will we hear tonight? Two songs from each performer once again! Here’s what we know so far.

Caleb Johnson: “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith and “Still of the Night” by Whitesnake

Sam Woolf: “How To Save a Life” by The Fray and “Sing” by Ed Sheeran

Jess Meuse: “Human” by Christina Perri and “Summertime Sadness” by Lana Del Ray

Jena Irene: “My Body” by Young The Giant and “Valerie” by Amy Winehouse

Alex Preston: “Say Something” by A Great Big World and “Sweater Weather” by the Neighborhood

Not too many surprises here. How have we not paired Caleb and Aerosmith together so far this season? We’re also looking forward to Alex’s take on “Say Something.” We have a feeling his coffee shop vibe mixed with such a mellow song could turn out to be either awesome or a lullaby. Either way, we’re in.

Are you surprised by the song choices? What did you request?
