Sophie Turner on Filming Game of Thrones Without Richard Madden and Michelle Fairley — Exclusive
Game of Thrones Season 4 premieres in under two months, but many fans are still recovering from Season 3's bloody Red Wedding. Really, will we ever be totally over watching Cat, Robb, Talisa, and all of Robb's bannermen slaughtered in one fell swoop? Probably not.
So when Wetpaint Entertainment chatted with Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) at the Christian Siriano Fall/Winter 2014 Collection show during New York Fashion Week, we had to ask her how last season's massacre affected the vibe on set during Season 4.
"It's different," Sophie admitted. "It's like losing a part of your family. And you know, you go down to the restaurant and you don't see Richard [Madden], who played Robb, and Michelle [Fairley], who played Catelyn, so it's kind of devastating."
Of course, on Game of Thrones, for every character we lose, it feels like we meet five new ones. "There are more characters coming in," Sophie added, "so it's like a big family. People go and people come. It's cool."
