Vampire Diaries Speculation: Is Silas the New Klaus?
If there’s one thing we’re most curious about before The Vampire Diaries Season 4 finale, it’s Silas. He may be stone at the moment, but there’s no way of knowing what exactly lurks behind that rocky facade. Is Silas as foxy as Klaus (Joseph Morgan)? Could such a thing be possible? Could anyone other than Klaus be so deliciously evil? Probably not, but that certainly doesn’t rule out a new evil hottie invading our favorite magical town in all of Virginia.
While there may only ever be one Klaus, that particular Original is currently living it up in New Orleans, fighting his enemies and coming to grips with his impending fatherhood. This definitely opens up a job in the department of evil-doing in Mystic Falls, and Silas has stepped into that willing, happily, even.
Sure, it might seem like Silas is out of the picture at that moment. But if it was Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) power that turned him into faceless stone, maybe her spells die along with her body. And in a promo for the finale, lots of members of the Five show up to find Silas so they can give him the cure.
Who knows what Silas is capable of? Besides, he’s proven on more than one occasion that even if Bonnie’s spell stays in tact, he has more power than anyone thought.
It’s hard to imagine a villain with lips as sexy as Joseph Morgan’s, but Silas has titillated our imaginations by hiding his face. If you’d asked us a few weeks ago whether or not Silas was sexy, we probably would have gagged. But we were taking our information from the distorted face he revealed to Bonnie. In this most recent episode, Silas crowed that even Bonnie had never seen his true face; all bets are off.
There’s little doubt that Silas has the magical clout to rise again and make more mischief in Mystic Falls, especially with a potential army of furious undead at his disposal. Whether or not he’ll also be foxy remains to be seen.
But don’t worry Klaus, you can keep letting the good times roll in NOLA, we’ll always have a place for you in our hearts.
