Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen), AKA Reek, has been seen very sparingly so far in Game of Thrones Season 4. In fact, he's only appeared in one episode so far (Episode 2, “The Lion and the Rose”). But thanks to the preview for Episode 6 (“The Laws of Gods and Men”) we know Theon will be gracing our screens once again. So what’s going to happen with him?
When we last saw Theon, he was spilling the beans to the Boltons about Bran and Rickon Stark possibly being alive. Roose Bolton then sent Locke to the Night’s Watch to retrieve the Stark boys, which didn’t end up going so well for him (Hodor!). We also saw Reek depart with Ramsay for Moat Cailin, the last Ironborn stronghold left in the North. Additionally, in the Season 3 finale (“Mhysa”), we saw Theon’s sister Yara embark on a rescue mission looking for her brother. Will these two finally meet up in next week’s episode?
We definitely think Reek and Ramsay make it to Moat Cailin, since we see Ramsey fighting some Greyjoy men in the preview. We expect the Boltons to flush out the Ironborn, and we expect Theon to be forced to do things to his countrymen that he doesn’t want to, just to keep up the theme of intense psychological torture for poor Reek.
As far as reuniting with his sister, we don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soon for Theon. While the preview shows Yara somewhere asking about Theon, we’re not so sure that it’s Moat Cailin. She was sailing for the Dreadfort last we knew, and if that’s where she arrives, she will have just missed her brother. Don’t expect a happy ending for Theon anytime soon.
What do you think: Will Yara's rescue mission work out, or will she totally miss her brother? Let us know your theories in the comments below!
