Tessa is a pretty powerful witch who has had roughly 2,000 years to think up spells, which means we don’t think she does anything she doesn’t intend to. Earlier this season, she used Stefan to temporarily suppress Silas’ psychic abilities, in the process wiping all of Stefan’s memories. We think this was intentional. We think she needs Stefan for her plan, and it was easier to keep him alienated from his loved ones and with her without his memories. We’re not sure how Tessa plans to kill, entomb, or brainwash Silas, but we think Stefan may be the key to her scheme.
Another very likely possibility is that Tessa will use one of the Petrova doppelgangers to enact some sort of revenge on Silas - possibly the resurrection of Amara, his long lost love? Sample Plan “A”: Tessa brings Amara back from the dead only to erase her memory using the same kind of doppelganger magic she practiced on Stefan. Then, Silas has to live in a world where his one true love is alive and well, but has no idea who he is or the romance that they shared. Or something like that. Yeah, we know. We’re pretty good at this whole revenge thing.
This whole Bonnie resurrection thing has been relatively easy. Almost too easy. Almost as if Tessa has been letting it happen. (We kind of just want her to be a master machinator who is playing everyone in Mystic Falls, including amnesiac Stefan.) What if Bonnie is somehow the key to Tessa’s plan? We’re not sure how she might tie into all of this, but we know they have some kind of witchy connection. Might these two ladies team up to cause havoc and heartbreak. We have to admit: we’ve always thought Bonnie would make an excellent villain.
