Pretty Little Liars Speculation: Which Character Ends Up in “Serious Danger”?

The promos for the Pretty Little Liars Season 4 finale (Season 4, Episode 24, "A Is for Answers") tease a dangerous situation, with the Liars confronting a masked figure ("A"?) on a roof — with a gun! With a weapon like that in play, is it any surprise that the Season 5 premiere features someone in "serious danger" — the kind of danger that involves paramedics and a surgeon?

According to a spoiler about Season 5, we can expect to see a "beloved" character requiring some major medical help. Given that this show loves cliffhangers, we wouldn't be surprised if that character gets hurt this week, with his or her fate being left up until the air until next season.

So who's going to end up on the wrong side of a surgeon's cutting knife? We have three main theories.

Ezra. If we were to bet, we'd put money on Mr. True Crime Novel. It seems like the show is slowly trying to inch Ezra away from Major Baddie territory, and having him put himself in danger to help Aria and/or the other Liars would be a major step in the right direction. We're not sure if we like this idea, but it seems likely.

One of the Liars. The Liars are on a roof, with a gun. It wouldn't take much for their masked opponent to turn that situation against them, and leaving us worrying over one of the four girls until June seems like the kind of trick the Pretty Little Liars writers might play.

Alison. The Liars have been worried all season that they'd lead "A" straight to Ali. Maybe they do — and maybe it really does almost lead to her death. This would be interesting because if Ali is forced to seek medical treatment, she won't be able to keep the fact that she's alive hidden anymore.

Who do you think will end up in danger? Let us know in the comments below.
