Pretty Little Liars Speculation: Who’s on the “B” Team?

In the Pretty Little Liars Season 3 finale, we were introduced to the concept of what fans have come to call the "B" team — a collection of suspicious characters who are working together, but aren't working for "A" (and may very well be working against "A"). But does that team really exist? And if so, who's on it?

We have three theories about the so-called "B" team, and we break them down here.

It's just Melissa, Jenna, and Shana (and perhaps former NAT Club Members). Melissa, Jenna, and Shana are the three people we've seen involved with the "B" team. According to Melissa, she's been trying to protect Spencer this whole time, and she claims Jenna and Shana were there the night of the lodge fire to try to find out who Red Coat is, implying that the "B" team is anti-"A". It's very possible that this is more or less the extent of the "B" team; it's also possible that former NAT club members like Jason were involved too, since Jenna and Melissa have connections to the club.

CeCe and Wren (and maybe even more!) are also involved. Over the last few episodes CeCe and Wren have gone from suspicious to undeniably involved in something. While the show seems to be hinting they're on the "A" team, it's possible that's a red herring — perhaps they're actually working with the "B" team. After all, Wren was once engaged to Melissa, and given CeCe's connection to Ali, it's very possible Big "A" harassed her, too, and she seems like the kind of person who would fight back. If this theory is correct, there's no telling how many characters are on the anti-"A" side.

There is no "B" team. Of course, the existence of a "B" team could be a result of our overactive imaginations. Maybe Melissa, Jenna, and Shana really are working for "A". On this show, it's hard to tell what's real, what's staged, and what's a lie.

Who do you think is on the "B" team? Is there a "B" team? What do you think their end goal is? Sound off in the comments below!
