We’re six weeks into The Bachelor, and it kind of feels like there’s nothing we can say to shock you anymore, but we’ll do what we can anyway. To reintroduce the cast of characters, we meet up with Juan Pablo Galavis on the February 10 episode, where he’s taking eight girls to New Zealand. Those gals include Andi Dorfman, Cassandra Ferguson, Sharleen Joynt, Clare Crawley, Nikki Ferrell, Renee Oteri, Chelsie Webster, and Kat Hurd.
According to the Season 18 Episode 6 synopsis, there are three dates going down: a 1-on-1 with Andi — finally — during which Juan Pablo takes her to some crevices, immerses her unbridled whimsy in waterfalls, and then sees his whole date kind of fall apart in the end. Will they bounce back? Yeah, probably, because she definitely gets a rose and also sticks around to see another day.
But that’s not the only drama ABC is teasing in the episode. On the group date, a “homesick bachelorette finally rises to the top and makes her presence known.” Later, when they’re all back together again, “the women are shocked by a turn of events that leaves one beautiful bachelorette totally devastated.” Are they talking about Clare?
All we know for sure about her is that she gets a 1-on-1 date with the man who called her out last week for… we still don’t know what, exactly. They go on a picnic down by the river, and she tries to get some answers about why he was so wishy-washy in Vietnam after their rendez-do. Think she gets a rose? Yeah, she does.
At the end of the day, it’s over for two girls. Those girls are Cassandra and Kat, if you didn’t guess, since they haven’t spent more than a second on camera in weeks. Are you surprised? We’re not.
