Glee Season 5: [Spoiler]’s Shirtless — “Mind-Blowing” Lady Gaga Song (PHOTO)

Get ready to go Gaga for Glee! When the show returns in November 2013 after a month-long hiatus, the very first episode back will be centered entirely around the music of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. Glee Season 5, Episode 4 is titled, “A Katy or a Gaga,” and now the show’s creator has tweeted the first photo from on set.

The picture shows Sam (Chord Overstreet) dressed in black pants, combat boots, a black skullcap, and wearing white angel wings. Oh, and did we mention that he’s totally shirtless?

“Chord Gaga” was all that Ryan said about the photo. It doesn’t tell us much, but it does confirm that this scene will be part of a Lady Gaga performance, not a Katy Perry one. Plus, anyone who’s seen the music video for Gaga’s 2013 hit, “Applause,” will clearly recognize Chord’s eerie angel getup.

Now that we know Glee is taking on this Gaga hit, we basically can’t stop watching the original music video. The crazy costumes. The colorful makeup. The glitter. Gaga as an actual swan? That video is chock full of crazy, random, mind-bending awesomeness, and we can’t wait to see Glee take it on.

Judging from the cast member’s tweets, they loved filming the performance, too. Kevin McHale (Artie):

Vanessa Lengies (Sugar), who left the show for a new ABC comedy, came back to visit her friends, and she calls the entire performance “mind-blowing.”

Given how epic this sounds, we’ll start preparing right now for our minds to be blown while watching it. Now, does anybody have a hand-held vacuum we could borrow? We’d rather not leave exploded brains all over the floor.
