Glee Music Spoilers: 100th Episode Part 2! Song List for Season 5, Ep. 13 — Confirmed!
UPDATE: It's now confirmed! The Hollywood Reporter has the official track list for Glee's 100th episode: parts one and two. Take a look!
Original story: Ever since it was first announced that Glee's two-part 100th’s episode special would feature new performances of the show's most popular songs, as voted on by the fans, we've been anxiously waiting to learn which songs would win out. And now, we appear to have gotten our answer!
We've already reported on the songs that will be performed in Season 5, Episode 12: "100," which is the first of two episodes celebrating the 100th-episode milestone. And now we're getting our first glimpse at the songs that are likely to be in the following episode, Season 5, Episode 13: "New Directions." Translation: Get excited, Quick fans!
Based on this list — which hasn't yet been officially confirmed by the show — there will only be three songs in the episode that have been previously on Glee. One of those is kind of a no-brainer: "Don't Stop Believin'," which has already been performed three times on the show and has become the Glee anthem.
It looks like this version of "Don't Stop" will be a big group number, featuring the current New Directions members, plus Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer). We wonder if this performance will serve as a memorial for Finn (Cory Monteith), who had a solo during the show's first version of the song.
Another repeated song we're excited for is "Loser Like Me," which will be a ballad this time around by the graduating New Directions members: Sam (Chord Overstreet), Blaine (Darren Criss), Artie (Kevin McHale), and Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz). We loved this Glee original song the first time, so we're looking forward to a more heartfelt rendition, too. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" will be performed again as well.
Among the new songs, we're intrigued by the fact that Quinn (Dianna Agron) and Puck (Mark Salling) are singing the emotional "Just Give Me a Reason." We've been hearing a lot of rumors about a possible Quinn-Puck hookup, so this song choice seems to back that up. We also can't wait to see former besties Kurt and Mercedes (Amber Riley) team up for "I Am Changing" from Dreamgirls.
- Dreamgirls' "I Am Changing" by Kurt and Mercedes
- Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Will and April Rhodes
- Eddie Murphy's "Party All the Time" by Holly Holliday and New Directions
- "Loser Like Me" (as a ballad) by Blaine, Sam, Artie, and Tina
- Oh Honey's "Be Okay" by Rachel and Santana
- Pink's "Just Give Me a Reason" by Quinn and Puck
- Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" by Rachel, Blaine, Kurt, Artie, Tina, and New Directions
Which of these song performances are you most excited for? And which previous songs are you sad to see left out of the episode?
