True Blood Spoilers: Alcide “Never Lost His Flame” For Sookie!

If you’re anything like us, you probably yelled “Come on!” at your TV when Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Alcide’s (Joe Manganiello) hookup in True Blood Season 5 was interrupted by Sookie’s queasy stomach and the decidedly unromantic arrival of both Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Bill (Stephen Moyer).

While we’re unsure of which dashing, supernatural suitor Sookie will end up with, we still had high hopes for her steamy scene with Alcide. Despite spoilers pointing to an end to their romantic entanglement in True Blood Season 6, Joe Manganiello doesn’t want fans to count Alcide out just yet.

In an interview with On the Red Carpet, Joe says Alcide still carries a torch for Sookie.

"Alcide's never lost his flame for Sookie,” he said. “Werewolf women are terrible. The worst. So the dating pool is really small when you're a super-powered creature. I mean, he hates vampires. They're terrible, that's not compatible and then you've got this beautiful, sweet, nice faerie who has this really great heart and she's super-powered but different enough but cute enough."

He may still have the hots for Sookie, but Alcide has his hands full in Season 6 as brand new pack master.

"You think it was this awesome job,” Joe said. “It's not. It's terrible ... there's some perks to being pack master, but past that, it's just terrible. All these wolves getting out of line, trying to test the alpha and you have to beat them back in line. Show them who's boss."

Plus, Sookie is definitely involved with Ben now, and Alcide has barely seen her this season! Sigh. Are you still holding out hope for a Sookie/Alcide romance, or has that ship sailed? Sound off below.
