Pretty Little Liars Spoilers: Could Ali and CeCe Be Sisters?

Pretty Little Liars has always played with the idea that Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) might have a secret sister, but has she been under our noses this entire time? E! Online asked Marlene King if Ali and CeCe Drake (Vanessa Ray) could be sisters, and the Pretty Little Liars showrunner’s answer has us mighty intrigued. What did Marlene say?

“I love those scenes [between Ali and CeCe in the Season 5 premiere] too and I feel like their connection is very much like that,” Marlene said of the girls’ sisterly bond. “They have a deeper connection than we have understood on the show and [the season five premiere] was the episode that would allow you to feel that. That was the ultimate sacrifice. Ali gave her the get out of jail free card.” Yeah, we agree and everything — Ali and CeCe are kind of adorable together — but what about the whole sister thing?!

Marlene teased: “We cast [CeCe] to look alike because we knew it would be a lot of fun to play with that theory and I will just say that there are a few other twists coming down the line with another character that we're exploring at the same time.” So it sounds like, though CeCe is not Ali’s biological sister, there might be someone else who is? Or at least someone else who looks a heck of a lot like Alison. Might this have something to do with the girl who was buried in Ali’s grave, who could potentially be the missing girl Sara Harvey? We still don’t know who killed the mystery girl, but we think Melissa knows who did, and we think it’s all coming out in Season 5.

Do you think Alison has a sister or is Marlene just talking about another lookalike? How do you think the girl in the grave factors in? Share your theories in the comments below!
