Pretty Little Liars showrunner Marlene King promised the Season 4 finale will be “all about answers” — and now we have our first corroboration of that promise. What did PLL hair stylist Kim Perry reveal with her recent Instagram from the PLL finale set?
“Our last night on set! PLL family,” Kim captioned her Instagram snapshot of Sasha Pieterse (Alison DiLaurentis) and Andrea Parker (Mrs. DiLaurentis) together on set. So, we know that these two will both be featured in the season’s climactic episode — but that’s not the entire reveal. In the pic, Sasha is wearing the same shirt Ali was wearing the night she “died”!
What does that mean exactly? Either Alison hasn’t had much time to go shopping during her life on the run (which, really, we can’t imagine), or we will be getting a flashback to the night of Ali’s disappearance. Given that we’ve been promised answers and everything about the “A” game seems to connect back to that night, we’re guessing the latter is true.
Our curiosity is also pleasantly piqued by the presumed fact that Ali and her mother will have a scene together in the episode. We know that Ali had dinner with her family before heading to the Hastings’ for the sleepover. Is this the only time Ali saw her mother the night of her disappearance? Much of the interaction that night, i.e. Ali’s run in with the N.A.T. Club and Byron Montgomery, happened at the DiLaurentis home. Is it possible that Ali had a private conversation with her mother later in the night, perhaps even after she went to retrieve the videos the N.A.T. Club wanted so badly? Could she have even gone to her mother for help? Does Mrs. D. know Ali is alive?!
Perhaps you can see why we’re so excited at the prospect of this scene. With the confirmation that Ali is alive, we have even more questions than when we thought her dead. And, we’ve always had a lot of questions about the dynamics of the DiLaurentis family — especially a rather large one concerning any extra children that may be hanging around.
What do you think a Season 4 finale flashback featuring Ali and her mom might reveal? Do you think Mrs. DiLaurentis knows Alison is alive? Sound off in the comments below!
