Pretty Little Liars Spoilers: Andrew Campbell Returns in Season 5, Episode 4 (PHOTO)
Andrew Campbell (Brandon W. Jones) has been an unexpectedly welcome recurring character in the last few seasons of Pretty Little Liars. Spencer’s academically-minded chum and confidante, Andrew always seems to pop up when Spencer is in crisis mode. Should we be worried that he will be making a return in Season 5?
“Well look what's going on today....#PLL,” Brandon tweeted, along with a photo of his name card at the Pretty Little Liars read-through for Season 5, Episode 4. Looks like Andrew is back! But why? And what does this mean for Spencer? And Spoby? It’s no secret that Andrew has a thing for Spencer. He’ll pretty much do anything for his brainy classmate. Is Andrew back on the show because Spencer is using him for something? We hope not for Andrew’s sake. Or, maybe their relationship is turning romantic? We know that one Pretty Little Liars couple will be spiraling in Season 5.

Executive producer Marlene King told The Hollywood Reporter: “There will be a couple who spirals together as opposed to our usual formula where the girl saves the boy or the boy saves the girl or the girl saves the girl in Emily's case. In this case, neither is saving each other for a while.” Might Spoby be the couple in question? And, if so, will Spencer seek comfort in the arms of another in the form of another strip trivia competition — i.e. her favorite break-up game?
We’re also wondering what kind of relationship Andrew and Ali potentially had prior to her disappearance. It’s been implied that Spencer and Andrew have known each other since they were kids, so it makes sense that Andrew would have also known Alison. Does his return in the fourth episode have anything to do with her return to Rosewood? Either way, will we get to see these two characters interact?
