Pretty Little Liars Spoilers: Caleb Is “Isolating Himself”

There was so much going on in the 100th episode of Pretty Little Liars that we haven’t spent much time discussing the return of Caleb (Tyler Blackburn). The former Rosewood resident was seriously changed by his time in Ravenswood, and we saw a very different version of him in the 100th episode. Moving forward, it sounds like the show will continue to explore this darker version of the character we know and love. What did Tyler tell The Hollywood Reporter about his character in Season 5?

For those who were hoping for a quick Haleb reunion, it doesn’t seem to be in the cards. Both characters are struggling right now. Tyler teased: "They are both in a very confused, dark place, so they have that in common. Caleb's not ready to get back into a relationship. Caleb's sort of isolating himself, but they do look to each other because of what they're both dealing with, as far as how they're feeling about life and other people. They're there to support each other."

It sounds like the Haleb reunion will be more of a slow-burn than an immediate reconciliation, which we’re actually quite happy to see. It feels more natural for these characters that they be hesitant to get back together after everything they’ve been through. They’re different people than they were the last time they were together. Tyler added: "They both started to move on. It's a different dynamic than they've experienced before."

Still, we can’t imagine these two staying apart forever. Hanna and Caleb may be confused right now, but they definitely still love one another.

How do you think the Haleb relationship will play out in Season 5? Sound off in the comments below!
