The Originals Spoilers: “Everything Crashes” in the Season 1 Finale
The Originalsis back tonight with the first of five episodes left in Season 1. Given what we’ve seen of this show so far, we can’t but think of those episodes as a downward spiral for these characters and this world — and Davina (Danielle Campbell) isn’t doing much to assuage our fears (masochistic hopes?). What did she tell TV Lineabout the killer Season 1 finale?
“I’d say the next couple episodes are where you’ll see things build up the most. Everyone’s been working against each other all season, and you’ll finally see it all play out,” Danielle said of the final five episodes. “The finale is where everything crashes. The tension keeps amping up to where it all explodes, and the finale is that explosion. We’re filming it right now, and it’s crazy on set. There’s so much going on.” Is that a literal explosion? Because, at this point, we’re prepared for major catastrophe in the French Quarter.
Danielle didn’t give more details on the specifics of what will be going down in the season-ender, but she did say that The Originals Season 1 finale will be on par with the kind of epicness we’ve come to expect from The Vampire Diariesseason-enders: “As you’ve seen on The Vampire Diaries, the finales are action-packed and emotional. Our finale definitely hits home with all of those subjects.”
Danielle isn’t the only The Originals cast member who’s been dropping hints about the Season 1 finale. Upon reading the script for the episode, Leah Pipes (Cami) sent out this enthusiastic tweet: “OH MY GOD our season finale is NUUUTS! Whaaaaaaat???!!!” A week later, Joseph Morgan (Klaus) added his reaction with this tweet: “Today we do a table read of the finale of season one #TheOriginals A script to die for baby.” Basically, it’s going to be big.
