The Originals Spoilers: Davina and Marcel’s History Revealed in Episode 5!

Davina isn’t your average teenage witch, and we’re about to find out what makes this girl so special when The Originals sheds light on its biggest enigma in Episode 5 (“Sinners and Saints”).

“In the fifth episode, you get backstories as to why Davina is there and what happened that made Marcel and her meet, and it’s kind of what makes her personality the way it is,” Danielle Campbell told Alloy Entertainment. “It also introduces her to this power that she has.”

In Episode 5, Davina is going to confide in unexpected ally Elijah and dish about her past and how she winded up in that church attic under’s Marcel’s protection. Could their story mirror Klaus and Marcel’s history?

“There’s a reason why she trusts only certain people, and there’s a reason why she hates others,” Danielle said. “There’s a good reason for it. Right now, she looks like this evil, mysterious girl, but there’s a lot more underneath.”

As for Davina’s mission in Season 1, it’s clear this witch fears “The Old Ones” — aka The Originals — and in Episode 2 her mission became clear: to find a way to kill them. “It’s something that Marcel asked her to do,” Danielle said. “And it’s something that she’s been putting a lot of effort into.”

However, given her new confidante Elijah, Marcel’s masterplan might begin to unravel.

What do you think Davina is hiding, Originals fans? Sound off with your theories in the comments!
