Pretty Little Liars Spoilers: “Ezra Is in a Very Dangerous Place”

Now that we’re in the “Ezra is ‘A’” phase of Pretty Little Liars, it’s hard to remember a time when everything from Ezra’s reading assignments to the way his eyes follow Aria across a room didn’t seem creepy. We hope, someday, we get back to that place. Until then, what the heck is Ezra up to? Executive producer Joseph Daugherty talked to E! Online about Ezra’s motivations.

"You do not know all of Ezra's secrets at this point and you don't know all of his motivation,” said Joseph, the writer of the winter premiere. “Right now, the audience knows more than the girls do and you're going to have to deal with the girls getting to the point where they know what you know and what they're going to do about it.” Yeah, we were dealing with the dramatic irony all over the place during last night’s episode can Mona at least figure out Ezra’s game so we have an on-screen character with whom to commiserate? Thanks, show.

Though we’ve been promised that “Ezra is ‘A’” isn’t a Toby-like fake out, we’re still skeptical of Ezra’s all-out evilness. We’re dying to know more of those secrets and motivations Joseph so tantalizingly teased! In the meantime, how worried should we be about Ezra’s lurking? Is he a threat to the Liars?

"I think Ezra's in a very dangerous place and he's a danger to himself and others right now, but I also know that probably what you think his motivations are right now are not correct,” spilled Joseph. So, kind of like an equal-opportunity spoiler. We’re still worried that Ezra might throw the Liars into his creepy cellar, but he might have good reasons for it? At this point, we’ll take what we can get when it comes to gleaning clues that Ezra isn’t as evil as he currently seems.

What do you think Ezra’s motivations are? Do you think he’s a danger to the Liars? Sound off in the comments below!
