Walking Dead Spoilers: Is Enid One of The Wolves?
Explain yourself, Enid! Carl Grimes' (Chandler Riggs) new non-friend was introduced in The Walking Dead Season 5, Episode 12, and were not sure if we should trust her. Apologies in advance if she turns out to be as harmless as poor Dr. S., whom we suspected of every wrongdoing since the Kennedy assassination and he turned out to just be a good doctor who died trying to save people.
But Enid is already a spy first spotted by Carl before he even walked through Alexandrias gate. She was peering out the window at him. Then Carl spotted a comic book in the house with Wolf Fight on the back, and Ron said it was Enids comic book. Oh, really?
Enid snuck out beyond the gate and was quick enough to lose Carl. However, were guessing she was the one who stole Ricks gun from the blender, since she was probably already out there and saw him stash the weapon. Is that weapon going to return in her hands or perhaps the hands of another, if shes working with a group?
Another W marking was spotted on a walkers forehead outside the blender house in Episode 13. Did Enid put it there? Was she part of the same group that attacked Richmond? Is it The Wolves, a possible group referenced on Richmond walls with Wolves Not Far? Or maybe The Wolves attacked her home and shes against them too.
Enid has only been in Alexandria a few months and she only started speaking to them recently. She doesnt seem scared if anything shes too calm (even sarcastic, telling Carl to pull it together, sport) for someone completely on her own. Where is her family? Did Aaron and Eric recruit her? If so, what are the details there? Is she connected to the Alexandrians who were exiled, or is that a completely different mystery?
Norman Reedus said someone is not who we think they are, and even though we dont have the first clue who Enid is, that tease just puts us on even higher alert to what she might be doing out there. And her name spelled backward is dine, which is too Terminus for comfort.
Maybe Enids story is completely separate from the W stuff, The Wolves (if they are a remix of The Scavengers or not), the Alexandria exiles, and everything else. But she is still pretty mysterious. Hopefully Carl can get the truth out of her, but hes not exactly known for his charm so he may need Carol to play bad cop with the threats.
What are your thoughts on Enid perfectly harmless or serious stranger danger?
