Vampire Diaries Spoilers: Michael Trevino Teases Swoon-Worthy Shirtless Scene

We’re glad to have Michael Trevino (Tyler Lockwood) back on The Vampire Diaries — not only for the important dynamic Tyler adds to the show both as a hybrid and as one of the gang, but because of his total hunkiness. What’s this we hear about an upcoming shirtless scene?

Oh, how we miss the Season 2 days of Tyler going through his first werewolf transition. So many reasons for him to take off his shirt. Well, it sounds like he’ll find another excuse sometime soon: “Filming a shirtless scene tomorrow, that means dinner will consist of 4 to 6 Almonds. #TVD,” Michael tweeted yesterday. We don’t think he has anything to worry about — even if he splurges on the almonds.

Now to the real question: Will Tyler be going shirtless for some hybrid-related shenanigan, or will he be slipping under the sheets with someone? We’re going to be frank in saying we’re more intrigued by the latter.

Much of our feels for last night’s episode were consumed by the deaths of Katherine and Nadia, but we totally dug the Forwood scene that went down. In it, Caroline (Candice Accola) told Tyler off for shaming her about the Klaus hookup. She told him to get over it or get out of her life — and it was awesome.

We’re also intrigued by Damon’s perceptiveness in realizing that Tyler still thinks he and Caroline have a chance. We didn’t realize the show would be interested in pursuing this so soon — and we’re not so sure they are — but might Tyler’s upcoming shirtless scene involve Caroline? We’ll have to wait and see. Either way, shirtless Tyler is always something to look forward to. Amirite, gang?

Do you think Caroline and Tyler might be getting back together? Do you have any other theories why Ty might be going shirtless: nightmare, ketchup spill, allergic reaction to his detergent? Sound off in the comments below!

Catch the next episode of The Vampire Diaries on Thursday, March 13 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
