Bachelor 2014 Spoilers: What to Expect in Juan Pablo’s Season 18 Premiere
It’s close to game time here in our rose-colored, desperation-scented (it’s wine coolers, relax) headquarters, and we’re counting down the days until Juan Pablo Galavis gets his chance at love on The Bachelor Season 18. But while we’ve had many insights into what’s going to play out on the 2014 season, ABC is nice enough to give us the straight-up what-up about the season premiere, airing on January 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
Just a hint, there’s a dance party, a gorgeous nurse, and an impromptu massage session. To start with, he’s just casually hanging with his daughter in the Season 18 Premiere when he is “surprised by a visit from Sean Lowe,” who offers him some pointers. It’s cute, really, but we’re pretty sure they’ve never met and that this might just be ABC’s way of prepping viewers for SeanCat’s wedding, saying, “make sure to tune in on January 26 to see at least one happy ending come from this show!”
All haterations aside, JPG is apparently “not looking forward” to sending home some of the 27 girls, but ends up cutting nine ladies on the first night! Yikes, that’s gotta hurt. The synopsis hints at a “gorgeous nurse” (Nikki Ferrell) who “pulls out a stethoscope and lets him listen to her heart,” as well as a “free-spirited hippie” (Lucy Aragon) who goes barefoot, and a music composer who arrives on a “piano bike” (Lauren Solomon). Also arriving are a pregnant lady (psych! It’s Clare Crawley) and a lady with a dog (Kelly Travis).
On the first night, he throws a little dance party with a photo booth, the nurse impresses him, and a single mom (Renee Oteri) tells him cute stories. Then a masseuse (Amy Jokinen) is “overzealous” with her “best moves,” which just sounds awkward. A “heartbroken woman” tells the story of being left at the altar (Lauren Higginson?) and an elegant opera singer (Sharleen Joynt) also “enchants” him. Strangely for the Pabs, the girl he tries to give the rose to is “hesitant” to accept.
The season promises involved dates at a “winter wonderland,” trips to South Korea, Vietnam, New Zealand, and more, and a finale in St. Lucia.
