Vampire Diaries Spoilers: “Sexy Time” For Damon and Elena in Episode 16

For those worried that Delena might be on the outs in this week’s episode of The Vampire Diaries, rest assured! It sounds like Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) will be getting very close in Season 5, Episode 16 (“While You Were Sleeping”).

“There’s some sexy time happening. Exes, man. What are you going to do?” Ian told TVLine, teasing some major action between the two characters in Thursday’s episode. We might have guessed this is where these two were headed, given the intensity of their embrace in the promo.

In it, we see Elena yell at Damon that she can’t stop loving him before throwing herself at her vampire ex-boyfriend. One of the more pleasant side effects of Elena’s werewolf venom-fueled hallucinations. TV Guide said of Elena’s struggled with the Super Ripper Virus: “If you thought Katherine being sucked into hell was bad, just wait until you see what Elena is about to go through. Not only does she have the vampire-eating virus, but her hallucinations will also cause her to go a bit nutso.”

Of course, it’s probably helping Damon that Elena still doesn’t know about all of the murdering he did whilst Elena was banished from her body. In this sneak peek for Thursday’s episode, we see Jeremy and Matt outlining all of the dastardly deeds committed while Elena was “sleeping.” Highlights include: killing Aaron Whitmore and letting Enzo almost kill Jeremy.

“No. She doesn’t [know],” Damon tells them. “Because I’m gonna be the one to tell her. And, if either one of you clowns beats me to it, I’ll rip your tongue out.” Will he manage to mention it before Elena throws herself at him? Something tells us it might not be his top priority.
