Yikes. That’s the word we’d most use to describe what went down on The Bachelorette Season 9 Episode 3, when one guy lied, one cried, and one really hot dude left after ripping his pants. But next week, on the June 17 episode, Desiree Hartsock and her flock of hotties hop a plane to the most romantic place on earth: Atlantic City. (What?) Wanna know what happens? We’ll tell you.
While there, Des takes 11 of her remaining bakers dozen dudes on a group date, where they must compete in a Mr. America pageant, complete with stripping, high heels, singing, and whatever other embarrassments ABC can think up to make these dudes (literally) dance for their dinner. But when all is said and done, only one man is left standing: #Kasey Stewart, who tap danced his way through the competition (literally).
But don’t feel bad for the other two fellas wanting Des’s tenderness. Both James Case and Brad McKinzie get 1-on-1 dates. Des and James had some serious chemistry on the Episode 3 group date, and homeskills got a rose. In Atlantic City, he and Des go to an area devastated by Hurricane Sandy and it’s apparently really touching. Touching enough that James gets a rose.
As for Mr. McKinzie, things don’t go quite as well. He and Des hop in another sweet ride — a Rolls Royce — and hit an amusement park. And though they have fun winning toys for his son Maddex, he doesn’t get the rose. But worry not, Barbie dolls, it seems that his elimination isn’t his fault. Word is his baby mama peaces out of their hometown and leaves his young son with Brad’s parents, forcing him to head home. Guess we’ll never know whether he and Des would have had a future.
At the Rose Ceremony, our future boyfriend, Zack Kalter, fails to make the grade. And yes, in case you’re wondering, we’re sobbing (happy tears, for us).
