Let’s face it: Half the reason we love Desiree Hartsock is so that we can project ourselves into her pretty-crying maxi dress and feel the feelings she feels so overwhelmingly all the time. Usually, we turn the TV off and feel just fine. But after tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette, we may all be in too deep. Will Des’s dudes spend the night when she hands them a key to a Fantasy Suite?
Well, according to the episode synopsis, Des starts off her Antigua vacay with Drew Kenney. The two frolic around the island, hang at a festival, have some private time, and then get out of the rain. But do they help each other out of their wet clothes? It’s unclear, but we’re hoping so, for vicarious living’s sake.
As for Desiree’s one-on-one with Chris Siegfried, it sounds like classic Bachelorette — a helicopter, a deserted beach, and an ultimatum. Will Chris’s demands be too much for Desiree to handle in real life? Will she take the night to think them over instead of finding out just how big his vocabulary really is?
And then there’s Brooks Forester, who starts off the episode at home with his family, trying to decide if he’s even gonna go to Antigua, which doesn’t bode well for Des. But once his fam gives him the A-OK to head islandward, he’s all stoked about it. You know, except for the part where he tells Chris Harrison something, and His Hostness is all “Nah, hell nah.” What is it? We dunno.
All we know for sure is someone goes home. But as for who it is, that’s up in the air. Oh, and did we mention it’s likely the eliminated person sends himself home? Cue the tears.
Tune in tonight, July 29, 2013 at 8/7c to watch it all go down.
