Game of Thrones Spoilers: What the New Photos Tell Us

Some new Game of Thrones Season 4 photos have been released, and they drop a few clues as to what’s going on in the upcoming season, which is now tantalizingly close to premiering. Here’s what we noticed from the pics.

Jaime and Tyrion united. For the first time since Season 1, bros Tyrion and Jaime Lannister are seen sharing a scene together. If you recall, Jaime is the only Lannister who doesn’t hate Tyrion’s guts, so it will be nice to see Tyrion spending time with someone who generally enjoys his company (and who isn’t on his payroll).

Brienne Meets Margaery. It looks like the future Queen of the Seven Kingdoms and Jaime’s BFF cross paths in a casual setting, as we see Margaery and a cleaned-up Brienne having a chat. These two do not meet in the A Song of Ice and Fire books, so we’re anxious to find out what they’re talking about. Our guess would be that it has something to do with Margaery’s brother Loras, who is under the impression that Brienne murdered his lover (and Margaery's former hubby), Renly Baratheon.

Stannis is Angry, Davos is sad. What else is new? We see Stannis brooding with his trademark scowl while Davos appears hangdog alongside him with his hands maybe even tied behind his back. Is Davos in trouble with Stannis again? Or is Stannis not fully forgiving Davos for freeing Gendry until he sees how things pan out at the Wall? Oh Stannis, will you ever be happy?

The Red Viper Examines Tyrion. We know that these two interact with each other from the trailers, but here we see newcomer Oberyn tilting Tyrion’s face up to him as he looks at him creepily. It looks to us like this is their first meeting and Oberyn is sizing up Tyrion. Maybe looking at his scar?
