Pretty Little Liars Spoilers: The Woman in Black Will Be Back!

In the Season 4 premiere of Pretty Little Liars, we met the Woman in Black, a veiled figure attending Detective Wilden’s funeral. Though we’ve speculated about whom she might be, we still have yet to find out her true identity. Luckily, according to PLL executive producer Joseph Dougherty, we definitely haven't seen the last of her. Maybe she'll even show up in tonight's Film Noir episode?

“Yes, [she’ll be back,] but it might not look like her,” writer/director Joseph Dougherty told Entertainment Weekly. “Will you see her look the way she did at the funeral? No. But I can’t say that you won’t see her.”

Basically, be on the look out for anyone who might be The Woman in Black though, we can imagine she would blend right into the noir-ified world of Season 4, Episode 19 (“Shadow Play”). She also might blend in because she could be someone we already know. We’ve speculated before that Alison is the Woman in Black and, now that we know she’s alive, we’re even more suspicious of their connection.

Another possibility we’ve floated before is that the Woman in Black is Sara Harvey, aka the missing teen from a nearby Pennsylvania town that the Liars previously suspected was the corpse in Ali’s coffin. We know that she and Ali are very similar in appearance, and that she has been missing for almost as long. We’re not sure why Sara would be interested in attending Wilden’s funeral, but we’ll still have an eye out for her. Both Sara Harvey and the Woman in Black are loose ends PLL is yet to tie up it makes some sense that they might be two ends of the same rope.
