Good news, PLLers! Not only does Pretty Little Liars Season 5 premiere in just seven days, but the upcoming season will include some “fantasy scenes” fans have been waiting for. What did Pretty Little Liars writer Maya Goldsmith tease about Season 5?
“Some of you are going to be very happy. Season 5 already has some of your ‘fantasy’ scenes,” Maya tweeted on Monday, totally piquing our interest. Will we finally discover that Ali is a vampire? That Aria has singing birds braid her hair in the morning? And that this entire story has been a dream that Mona is having in Radley? We kid, we kid. Actually, we think Maya is probably referring to what we fans hope will happen this season (though, really, vampirism would make a lot of sense). So, what might that refer to?
Well, there’s a lot of different guys of fans out there rooting for many different storylines in Season 5. Personally, we hope to get some solid Spoby time in Season 5. We’re also looking to see Haleb eventually get back together, but only after Hanna and Caleb talk things through for real, and Hanna feels like she can trust her ex-boyfriend again. We’re not sure what outcome we’re hoping for from the Alison/Emily/Paige love triangle. We love Paily, but Paige betrayed Em’s trust last season, and Ali was Emily’s first love, but she broke her heart (and then proceeded to stomp on the pieces). We’re even more confused about what we want from Ezria.
Moving away from the Liars’ love lives, how about some info about what it was Melissa whispered into her father’s ear in the Season 4 finale. Word on the street is that will be revealed this season, and we’re holding the PLL Powers That Be to it! We’d also like to check in with Wren, see what they sketchball is up to; delve into DiLaurentis family drama; and see more of Mona and Mike’s dynamic. OK, those are the first few items on our infinite wishlist. Let us know what you can do, show! Though, to be honest, we’re happy as long as this show is keeping us entertained — even if it is in a way we never wished for.
