Star-Crossed is a love story. Emery (Aimee Teegarden) and Roman (Matt Lanter) are drawn together by fate, despite the fact that they come from two separate worlds. Their story is very Romeo and Juliet, with the exception of one big thing. These two aren’t getting together anytime soon!
Surprising, right? We’ll let that sink in for a second. Leading lady Aimee recently spoke with TVLine, and she reveals that Roman and Emery — Romery, if you will — won’t be headed straight for coupledom.
“It’s a fun romance to play; it’s almost more intimate not touching than it is touching,” she says. The moral of this story: Don’t expect things to get hot and heavy anytime soon. In fact, Aimee says that the death of Roman’s dad causes a huge rift between he and Em. Roman withdraws, and Emery will struggle to get him to open up to her.
As for Emery’s other potential love interest, her hunky human classmate Grayson, he isn’t going away anytime soon. In fact, Aimee says he will come between Roman and Emery.
With all this bad news, is there any hope of Romery working out? Of course there is, silly! The name of the show is Star-Crossed. It would be nothing without its star-crossed lovers. “There’s definitely hope for Roman and Emery down the line,” Aimee says. “I’m not saying it’ll be this season, or next season, but at some point, I think they’ll be together.”
Sigh. We guess we’ll just have to be content to wait.
