May the force be with you; winter is coming. For a time those two phrases were separated by a galaxy far, far away, and a 700 foot wall, but now the worlds of fantasy and science fiction are colliding! Miltos Yerolemou, who portrayed Arya’s Braavosi water dancing instructor Syrio Forel on Season 1 of Game of Thrones, has been added to the cast of J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII, MTV reports.
It’s not known what role Miltos will be portraying, but it’s assumed to be a minor part. He’ll have some GoT company on set, though, in the form of Gwendoline Christie, who plays Brienne of Tarth on the HBO fantasy drama. Gwendoline joined the Star Wars cast back in June, also in an unspecified role. The film’s production has been very secretive up to this point, but rumors claim that Gwendoline will be a villain in the film and that she’s been busy training with a lightsaber. Last we checked, Brienne knew how to handle a sword, but if she needs a little more training we think Syrio Forel is the right man for the job!
Perhaps if Miltos’s star rises enough with the new film he can finagle a return to GoT. We mean, nobody saw Syrio die, right?
