Glee Star Remembers Cory Monteith, Uncertain About His Future in Season 6
In next week's Glee episode, the cast will perform a new rendition of one of its most iconic tunes, "Don't Stop Believin'." Now, one cast member is revealing what it's been like to cover the tune without Cory Monteith (Finn).
Matthew Morrison (Schue) tells TV Guide that it's hard to perform the song without Cory in Season 5, Episode 13: "New Directions," given that Cory helped make Glee's version of the song so memorable.
"Just doing this song here today and he's not here, that's kind of a full circle moment," Matty says. "But that saying is so true, 'The show must go on,' and we've really kind of banded together. It's been tough, but it's been real."
So is Schue going to be joining the other characters in NYC when the show moves there? "I can't see [the show] not using myself or Jane [Lynch] for the whole rest of the show, but we'll see what happens," he says. "I honestly don't know."
It's definitely weird to think of Glee without Mr. Schue. However, given that Matthew is starring in a new theatrical show soon, it definitely appears that we'll be seeing a lot less of his character on the show. Sob!
Are you sad to say goodbye to Schue? And are you looking forward to a new version of "Don't Stop Believin'"?
